  • Suzie Swan

    Owner / Director

    Suzie is a 2011 graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Special Education. Suzie has worked at Building Blocks since 2015 and had over 10 years of experience working with children prior to being at Building Blocks. Suzie has worked at HSI with special needs children as well as being an assistant and lead teacher in classrooms of all ages. Suzie and her husband, Mike, live in Brandon with their daughter, Rylee, and their son, Rhett.

  • Kara Knoll

    Assistant Director

    Childcare has always been a passion for Kara. She started out babysitting and being a summer nanny in high school. She went off to college to pursue her passion at South Dakota State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education in 2012. During college she was a live-in nanny and worked in childcare. After she graduated, she continued to work in childcare as a lead in many different types of classrooms. She has been with Building Blocks since 2016. When Kara isn’t at Building Blocks, she enjoys her time with family. Kara and her husband Josh live in Brandon and have 2 children, their daughter Paisley, and their son Zander.
